I am obsessed with the Jasmine Blossom candle from La Jolie Muse, and have been for years. I also like the Rose Oud. I recently decided to branch out and bought this to test before buying another to give as a gift to a friend who also loves rose scents with musky/woody undertones but I'm very disappointed. It smells nothing like sandalwood, just a very strong talc smell, with very little, if any, rose discernible. The scent actually makes me feel a little nauseous, sadly. There are a few other scents I've ordered, and I'm now not sure what to expect. It won't stop me buying the Jasmine Blossom in future but I'm now hesitant to branch out as planned. Shame.

I have purchased the larger candles many times over. They are absolutely stunning and fill the room with fragrance; however, this item is very disappointing. I bought this for our caravan and after burning it for aboit two hours, almost no smell whatsoever. Even when first opened, virtually no fragrance at all. Would not buy again.Update: I have changed my star rating to 5. The seller could not have been more helpful in dealing with my issue concerning my purchase. They replaced the candle for me, and the fragrance was that of previous candles puchased. Beautiful, long lasting candles and superb customer support... I cannot recommend them enough.

Have bought several jolie muse candles and always find that not only are they beautiful visually and stunning fragrances, but also the box they come in makes them a classy gift to give. I was therefore so disappointed to receive a fairly tatty box, with marks and small tears, which meant it could not possibly be given as a gift. This meant I had to buy another gift, so was not the bargain it presented itself as. Unfortunately, I would have to think carefully about whether to order a jolie muse candle again, which is such a shame.UPDATE- the customer service team have responded to my review above and very kindly apologised and sent me a replacement candle in good condition. This is not only kind but so very rare to receive such a considerate response. This has restored my faith in jolie muse, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again- their product beats all their competitors in my opinion.

Lovely candle. I haven't burned it as it was a gift for a friend but it smells divine! Only thing to note, the item is very well packaged however the box isn't very well attached (a small circular sticker on each side) so when taking it out of the polystyrene the bottom of the box and candle fell out the bottom! Very sturdy candle so didn't smash but watch out! Would highly recommend!
