### Review of Home Decorators Collection 7.5 ft. Pre-Lit LED Grand Duchess Twinkling Balsam Fir Artificial Christmas Tree (T27)

I purchased the Home Decorators Collection 7.5 ft. Pre-Lit LED Grand Duchess Twinkling Balsam Fir Artificial Christmas Tree (T27) last year, and initially, I was impressed. The tree looked stunning, and the lights worked flawlessly throughout the season. However, my experience this year has been nothing short of frustrating.

After unboxing and setting up the tree this season, the lights started malfunctioning. They would only stay on for a few minutes before shutting off, and then they began turning on and off at random intervals. Now, they won’t turn on at all.

I contacted Home Depot’s customer service twice, seeking help to troubleshoot the issue. Both times, I was promised a callback from a representative who could assist me. Unfortunately, no one ever followed up, leaving me to figure out the issue on my own.

After some investigation, I discovered that the included 29-volt power supply is only outputting 6 volts. This clearly points to a power supply problem. To my dismay, replacing the power supply will cost an additional $70—on top of the $350 I already spent on this tree. A product at this price point should last longer than one season without requiring costly repairs.

Home Depot’s customer support has been unhelpful and unresponsive, which has only added to my disappointment. I expected better from both the Home Decorators Collection brand and Home Depot. I won’t be purchasing another product from this brand again and cannot recommend this tree to others.

If you're considering this tree, beware: while it may look great initially, the poor durability and lackluster customer support make it a risky investment.
Beautiful but malfunctioning after second year

This tree is perfect as it fills our space and is easy to set up. We bought this tree because we loved how easily you can interchange the lights from white to multi color or the twinkle setting. This tree was purchased Nov 2022. We set it up and our remote does not work. The tree is stuck on multicolor. The only way the lights turn on is with the foot pedal. We also have several burnt out light bulbs in all 3 sections of the tree. Including some that short and are dim and when touched go out completely. Contacted the warranty company today which is sending a new remote and transmitter control panel. That’s great but we are the ones required to try and fix it with no guarantee of results. Additionally, the new remote and control panel does not solve the problem with the burnt out lights. This should not be happening to a tree that is less than 3 years old or one that cost $349. Home Depot’s warranty only runs for 90 days- clearly that’s not helpful when the tree is only up and used for 30-40 days a year. I’m hopeful we will get further assistance as I have no decorated with bulbs yet because I don’t know if our a Christmas tree will work and I refuse to do it twice. This is a time sensitive need and they were not able to expedite shipping. Feeling a little frustrated. Would explore other options before spending this much of a tree-one that offers longevity.
One Year Shelf Life

Fell into the Tik Tok hype and purchased this tree last November. The tree worked flawlessly throughout the holiday season. Fast Forward to this year, and the tree will light up for a few minutes, and then completely shut itself off. When it does finally decide to turn itself back on,, it defaults to the display mode and then after a few minutes, will shut itself off again. I have called customer service twice now regarding this issue, and both times have been told that someone will contact me. I have yet to receive a call from HD's support team to help with this problem, so I decided to try and diagnose the problem myself. I found the included LED power supply is only putting out 6 volts and not the 29 volts required to light up the tree. I ordered a new power supply from an Ebay seller and once this problem is resolved, I will be selling this tree and vow to never purchase another tree from Home Depot again. I am beyond frustrated with HD's customer service, and can see that others who own this tree are as well,,
Lights went out after one season

I was very excited to have found this tree last year considering all the hype and attention. Was extremely impressed with the quality and appearance and happy with my purchase. Stored the tree in the original box (sealed), went to put it up this year and worked great for the first week. After a week of use this season, the lights started to malfunction and eventually stopped working all together. I contacted Customer Service and after a few sentences describing the issue, they seemed to know the issue and sent me a replacement part with an expectancy of 7-10 business days. The part came on about day 5, and unfortunately still did not fix the problem. After much consideration and reading other reviews and potential hazards, I decided to remove the lights from the tree and restring it with lights that I am confident work. For the price of this tree and effort it took to get one, I am extremely disappointed that the quality did not hold up.
