December 1, 2024I was running a 4070 super with my i9-9900K and could tell my cpu was bottlenecking my gpu because my 1% lows were always dipping and causing stutters at those high frame rates @1440p resolution. Ever since upgrading to the 9800X3D, everything has been smooth and snappy. In-Game Benchmark: Black Ops 6 1440p Fidelityfx Competitive Graphics Settings; i9-9900K+4070 Super @167 AVG. FPS. benchmark~CPU50%/GPU50%; 9800X3D+4070S @206 AVG. FPS. benchmark~CPU0%/GPU100%.

November 21, 2024Ive been on intel since 9900K and have always been a fan of them. Even through the ups and downs of Raptor Lake I stayed committed. I was looking forward to the new Arrow Lake cpus but when the reviews came out I was disappointed, to say the least. This 9800X3D is nothing short of amazing. Sacrifice a small amount of work performance for some of the best gaming performance I've ever seen! If you are like me and find yourself torn then please make the jump to AMD. You will not regret it.
Gaming powerhouse

December 15, 2024I got in on this one of the early deliveries of this monster of a CPU and it does not disappoint. Takes any gaming load thrown at it and chews it up and spits it out. Now I am saving up for a gpu that can help push it further!! Although it is not an absolute multithreaded champ, having a mere 8 cores, it still is more than capable of handling anything non-gaming related that I use it for with ease. Yeah, if you are doing lots of video editing or rendering you might want to look elsewhere, but it is capable of handing in respectable performance for occasional use in heavily multithreaded work.
There's the speed of light...then the 9800X3D!

December 12, 2024I struggled to decide between waiting on the 9800X3d or going with the 7800X3D. I finally decided to wait, and I am so pleased I did. This chip is so fast, you have to experience it. Not just game performce, every peice of software I run, from Hyper-V to Visual Studio to YouTube/Twitch at high res....everything just runs so fast. Even with an older RTX306012GB card, it still powers through. If, like me, you're not sure....just get one! This is the way!
